"Sara Lewis is a Portland area Realtor affiliated with Windermere Real Estate, that sells residential real estate all over the Portland Metro area."
I was born here in Portland, but moved to Bend, Oregon, at a young age and spent the rest of my youth there. I was a competitive ski racer and spent nearly 250 days a year on the mountain. At age 16, I fell in a ski race in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I tore my anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and had to have knee reconstruction surgery. Shortly thereafter, I hung up my competitive ski boots.
I attended Oregon State University, where I majored in Business Marketing, with a minor in Communications. After having a wonderful time at OSU, I graduated in 2002, and moved to Portland. My husband and I still enjoy attending football games every fall!
I began working at a commercial insurance agency, Durham and Bates, as an Account Manager. Around that time, I met my husband, Andy Lewis. Andy had grown up in Lake Oswego and attended The University of Washington. He had played football all through college and had been on Washington's 2001 winning Rose Bowl Team! After Andy and I were engaged, he was offered a job selling maritime insurance, also for Durham and Bates. We worked together for a little over a year, and during that time, were married at Portland Golf Club.
Shortly thereafter, I decided to go for it, and pursue my dream of becoming a Realtor! My career began at Coldwell Banker Barbara Sue Seal Properties in Lake Oswego. In July of 2008, I moved to The Hasson Company Realtors' Lake Oswego office. My business quickly grew, despite the housing market's decline. I was awarded The Hasson Company’s “Top Producer Award” four times and for seven consecutive years have been a “Platinum Diamond Member” of PMAR’s Masters Circle, which is the highest level of the Club. In 2010, I hired a licensed assistant and became a Principal Broker. In 2014, I made the decision to move to Windermere’s Lake Oswego office, where I currently reside and was honored to be awarded a "Top Producer" at Windermere in 2015.
I still enjoy alpine skiing, as well as water skiing, hiking, running, biking, and spending time with family and friends. Andy and I both believe in donating time to non-profits and are passionate about the organizations we’ve been fortunate enough to be involved with. I’m a member of the Ambassador Board for Friends of the Children, a non-profit that helps at-risk youth. I’m also a SMART Reader, where I make a weekly commitment to read with two children and help them become successful and confident readers. Andy is a Chemo-Pal with the Children’s Cancer Association and a board member for both the Children's Cancer Association (CCA), and Fast Friends. Andy and I live in Lake Oswego's First Addition, where we are currently raising our son Macintyre, daughter Marin, and our rescue dog Jack!
